The goal of the 2022 maiden edition of the Global Business Leadership Program is to promote and expand trade and investment within Africa countries, Africa business relationship development, and understand the business arena, Opportunities, and familiarize with the cross-border policies, Communication, and business ideology.

Cultural Intelligence is a prerequisite for a global business leader or aspiring global leader to thrive and succeed in cross-border businesses. This program is auspices by the government of the Republic of Angola in partnership with the Africa Private Business Forum (FPNA) and Rome Business School Nigeria. Rome Business School Nigeria will facilitate and intermediate between the business communities in Nigeria and interested businesses, experts, professionals, entrepreneurs, and organizations seeking opportunities in other parts of Africa countries.

The chambers of commerce, industries, trade and investment, ministries, and government parastatal of representative Africa countries will be on the ground to educate, pronounce winning opportunities, lucrative investment areas, business incubation processes, ease of doing business procedures and incentives, finance opportunities, tax holiday system, human capital diversity, access to needed resources, etc.

 

 

Republic of Angola is a country in Central Africa. It has large reserves of oil and diamonds, hydroelectric potential, and rich agricultural land.

The country is the second-largest petroleum and diamond producer in sub-Saharan Africa, In August 2006, a peace treaty was signed with a faction of the FLEC, a separatist guerrilla group from the Cabinda exclave in the North, which is still active. About 65% of Angola’s oil comes from that region.

The coastal strip is tempered by the cool Benguela Current, resulting in a climate similar to coastal Peru or Baja California.

Importantly, Angola is open and ready for business.

Ambassador Téte António

Minister of Foreign Affairs, Republic of Angola

He attended courses in Preventive Diplomacy at Columbia University, New York, in Conflict Management, Resolution and Mediation at the Jimmy Carter Center, and Diplomacy at the Cairo Ministry of Foreign Affairs Institute in Egypt, United Nations Law and Practice at New York University, USA.

Before being appointed Minister, he served as Secretary of State for External Relations, Representative of the African Union to the United Nations, in New York, Diplomatic Adviser to the President of the African Union Commission, Minister Counsellor at the Permanent Mission of the Republic of Angola to the United Nations, in New York.

Ambassador Téte António was also a member of the Angolan delegation to the United Nations Security Council (2003-2004), Principal Expert during the Angolan Presidency of the UN Peacebuilding Commission; Adviser to the President of the 59th Session of the UN General Assembly (2004-2005); Director of the Office of the Vice Minister of External Relations (1999-2002); African Union Political Observer to the United Nations Mission for the Organization of a Referendum in Western Sahara (MINURSO) based in El Aiune, Western Sahara from 1997 to 1999; Diplomat at the Embassy of the Republic of Angola in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, and Permanent Mission to the African Union (1993-1997), Official of the African Union and Specialized Institutions Department of Africa and Middle East Directorate of the Ministry of External Relations and Employee of IMPORTANT assigned to the Ministry of Foreign Trade.

Victoriano Nicolau (Ph.D.)

President of Bilateral Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Angola

Victoriano Ferreira Nicolau (Kanda), married, was born on 5/9/52 in the municipality of Cambambe Kwanza Norte. A former combatant, former political prisoner, former government member, and former deputy, he graduated some 28 years in economics and specialized in accounting and finance from the University Dr. António Agostinho Neto, where he taught for 5 years.

Pragmatic politician, researcher, and writer, currently serves as Project Manager Economic Consultant and conducts postgraduate studies in MBA Management and Business Administration.

 

Humphrey Akanazu (Ph.D.)

Humphrey Akanazu (Ph.D.) is the Country Director of Rome Business School in Nigeria; the Initiator and Coordinator of the Family-Owned Business Forum Nigeria (FOB Nigeria), a project being partnered by the Rome Business School and the Centre for Values in Leadership CVL.

Dr. Humphrey is a Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) Consultant, linking foreign investors with their local counterparts in Nigeria.

Dr. Akanazu is a Researcher, a Social Entrepreneur, and an Educationist who comes from a rich background in Management Education where he has had most of his career. He has three Master Degrees from various reputable European universities namely from the prestigious Roma Tre University (Rome – Italy) with a Master in Social Services Management; from the University of St. Bonaventure (Rome-Italy) with a Master in Peace Building Management and a Master in Marketing and Communication from Rome Business School, Italy. He obtained his Ph.D. in Psychology from the University of Valladolid, Spain.

He has hands-on experience in the design, delivery, coordination, facilitation, and administration of training and development initiatives in Nigerian, and major cities as well as across Europe and the United Arab Emirates.

Humphrey has been invited to present papers and speak in various countries and congresses. Some of these countries are Italy, Spain, Portugal, Cameroon, and Nigeria. He is also co-authored some books and contributed to various Journals.

 

Nweze Austin (Ph.D.)

Political and Developmental

Economist

Dr. Austin Nweze is a political and developmental economist, started out as an entrepreneur in 1990 after a brief stint with New Breed and the President magazines. For almost a decade he published Successful People magazine, the first Nigerian magazine focused on the promotion of entrepreneurship, which contributed to the recent interest and attention being given to the subject and sector by the government, universities, NGOs, and the private sector.

For over 15 years he consulted for organizations on organizational transformation/revitalization and developed and delivered training programs for corporate organizations and government establishments in the areas of entrepreneurship development, venture management, leadership, six sigma, media relations, finance, financial planning, retirement planning, marketing, strategy, and soft skills.

He is a workshop speaker and consultant at international conferences, seminars, and workshops. He has varied experiences in consulting for corporate and government institutions at different levels in business processes and improvement. He is the founding President of the Association of Outsourcing Practitioners of Nigeria (AOPN). He is also a member of the Africa Outsourcing Association.

Dr. Austin Nweze is self-motivated, passionate, and enthusiastic and a frequent commentator on economic, business, and national issues on both radio, magazines, national newspapers, and TV.
