Rome Business School Nigeria visits Lekki Conservation Centre, LCC

The Rome Business School Nigeria’s Executive Students visited the Nigerian Conservation Foundation (NCF), a non-governmental organization and the managerial and regulatory body for the Lekki conservation center dedicated to nature conservation and sustainable development in Nigeria on Wednesday, 22nd June 2022.

The Nigerian Conservation Foundation (NCF) is Established in 1980, NCF remains the institutional symbol of natural resource management in Nigeria, promoting environmental conservation and sustainable development. Through its conservation projects, the foundation has developed unique nature conservation strategies that cater to the needs of people while maintaining ecosystem stability.

The students were received by the Director of Business Development and Communication, Mr. Uchenna Achunine, who welcomed the students and gave a brief history of NCF and its impacts on environmental sustainability. His presentation was accompanied by other speakers, including Mr. Adedamola Ogunsesan Manager, Lekki Conservation Centre; and Mr. Ayodele Alamu—Snr. Manager, Busines Development & Communications, who walked the students through the enterprise model of the Lekki Conservation Centre, and the business sustainability model, and talked about the various departments.

The Tourist embarked on a tour around the NCF facility as well, experienced the LCC nature park which begins with a walk through the A trail boardwalk was constructed to enrich tourists’ view and encapsulated on a mangrove terrain with side attractions along the trail like the swamp outlook, bird hide, rest stops, and the tree house.

Another interesting and most adventurous part was the canopy walkway where the students explore and experienced a long walk of about 401 meters long and 22.5 meters high above the trees.

The Executive Students harnessed business partnership and networking opportunities and were exposed to strategic management and conservation of the wildlife.
