Temitope ‘Tope’ Iluyemi - P&G Director, Global Government Relations and Public Policy
Mrs Temitope ‘Tope’ Iluyemi, is the Director, Global Government Relations for Africa at P&G. Following a short career as a Pharmacist, Temitope joined P&G Nigeria in 1998.
In her over 20years career with P&G, she has distinguished herself with a breadth of roles spanning across commercial and corporate functions (Sales, Market Strategy and Planning, Supply Network Operations, External Relations and Government Relations).
In this timeframe, Mrs Iluyemi has lived and worked across Nigeria, South Africa, Ghana, Togo and the United States of America, delivering significant value to P&G across various spheres of work.
In 2017, she relocated back to Nigeria after a successful posting to Washington D.C. Temitope’s Government relations role was expanded and today spans across 54 countries in Africa.
In her current role as Government relations Director, she is responsible for improving P&G’s investment viability across the region, advocating for policy reforms that enable business operations including deepening Africa’s integration, building P&G’s reputation across the countries with a P&G reach and supporting company communications for Nigeria. She is sought after as a key contributor to developing solutions in the Africa region.
Temitope is a member of the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria, sits on the Board of Directors for P&G Nigeria, Chairs the Taskforce on Trade facilitation at the US Chamber of commerce, sits on the Trade Commission of the NESG and is involved in various local community projects.
Mrs Iluyemi was recognized among the Top 50 Leading ladies in Corporate Nigeria 2019, selected among women who made an impact in 2019 by the Guardian publication and recognized with an Honoris causa doctorate of Arts by the European American University.
Temitope currently lives in Lagos Nigeria with her family.
