Rome Business School Nigeria is proud to announce the renewal of its strategic partnership with the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria (CIPM). The renewed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was officially signed during a formal ceremony, marking a new chapter in the collaboration between the two institutions, which aims to advance professional Human Resource education and certification in Nigeria.

This renewal reflects the evolving dynamics and deepened commitment between the two organizations since the initial agreement was established in 2019. Over the years, the partnership has added significant value to the academic and professional journey of students at Rome Business School Nigeria, particularly those enrolled in the Master’s in International Human Resource Management and the MBA.

The MOU continues to provide students of the Rome Business School Nigeria with unique opportunities for professional advancement, industry recognition, and a competitive edge in the labour market.

Exemptions through the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria and the Rome Business School Nigeria MoU, specifically:

  • Exemptions across Intermediate 2, Professional Examination 1, and Professional Examination 2 levels.
  • Out of 13 professional exams across these three levels, eligible students of Rome Business School Nigeria are only required to take 4 examinations.
  • This applies to students of the Master’s in International Human Resource Management and the MBA.
  • Official student membership recognition with CIPM,
  • Discounts on examination fees, and
  • Free tutorials through the RBSN-CIPM Study Center.
  • Registration is free for eligible students (i.e, will be facilitated by Rome Business School Nigeria)

The signing ceremony was a testament to this evolution, with the President and Chairman of the Governing Council, Mallam Ahmed Ladan Gobir, FCIPM, FNLI, playing a central role in reinforcing the importance of strategic collaboration between both institutions.

Also present at the ceremony was Mrs. Oluwatoyin Naiwo, FCIPM, the Registrar and Chief Executive of CIPM, who reiterated the institute’s dedication to developing globally competitive HR professionals through meaningful academic partnerships. Mrs. Nkiru Ikwuegbuenyi, FCIPM, Director of People & Operations, was actively involved in the coordination of the event, contributing to the conversation on how the renewed MoU aligns with CIPM’s operational objectives. Representing the business development and membership engagement arm, Mr. Olutayo Olawale, MCIPM, Director of Membership and Market Development, highlighted the institute’s readiness to support RBSN students through access to professional networks and continuous learning opportunities. In addition, Mr. Edward Dunkwu, FCA, the Chief Finance Officer, also participated in the deliberations, underscoring the importance of resource alignment in sustaining impactful academic collaborations.
