Justina has over 15 years of experience and exposure in the tourism and hospitality industry in Nigeria.

She is a Hospitality Professional and Social Entrepreneur. She is the founder of the Calabar Hospitality House Limited (CHH) an indigenous firm that provides innovative and pragmatic human capital development and customer service solutions for the rapidly changing Tourism and Hospitality environment. The primary aim of CHH’S establishment in 2013 is to “raise quality manpower” for the Tourism and Hospitality industry.

She has practical and professional experience in customer service, marketing, entrepreneurship, total quality management, capacity building, enterprise design thinking, and customer relationship management across various sectors.

She is a certified Hospitality Trainer and a Certified Guest Service Professional with the American Hotel & Lodging Educational Institute; a Certified Hospitality Establishment Grading Assessor from South Africa’s Professional Services Company – ProServ; and a Certified Customer-Focused Team Leader with a Master Certificate in Hospitality Management from Cornell University’s School of Hotel Administration.

She was awarded a badge as an Enterprise Design Thinking Practitioner by IBM and she is also a UI Specialist from DesignLab USA. She has a certificate in Designing a Multidimensional Poverty Index offered by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and Oxford Poverty & Human Development Initiative of Oxford University (OPHI). And most recently earned a certificate as a Nigerian Tourism Specialist upon completing a 2-day course jointly organized by the National Institute for Hospitality and Tourism, Naija7wonders and AKWAABA Travel Market.

 She founded the Justina Ovat Foundation in 2018;  a non-profit organization with a vision to enable individuals contribute to the commonwealth of their communities by providing them opportunities in three fundamental areas: Entrepreneurship, Employability and Enterprise development.

Cross River State on Hospitality and also the General Manager, Tinapa Lakeside Hotel. She is named among the 50 young persons to watch in Cross River State and also among the Emerging Political Leaders in Cross River State.

She has worked with various organizations in the development of unique operational frameworks that ensure total quality management through capacity building and overall customer satisfaction.

She is currently the President of Women in Hospitality Nigeria and also the Vice President, South-South of the Federation of Tourism Associations of Nigeria.

Justina is the president of Women in Hospitality, Nigeria; Vice President South-South Federation of Tourism Associations of Nigeria; Vice President Tourism & Association of the Calabar Chamber of Commerce.

She is currently enrolled at the Service Design Academy, Germany studying to become  a Certified Service Design Practitioner.

Justina is married with 3 children
