Itotenaan Henry Ogiri (Ph.D) – Financial Management and Accounting
Dr. Henry Ogiri teaches Financial Management, Accounting and Corporate Social Responsibility to MBA students at Rome Business School. Dr. Itotenaan Henry Ogiri is a seasoned Accountant with vast experience in the Nigerian Economy. He has served as Executive Director (Finance & Administration) of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC). Earlier on, he was elected Member of Parliament where he represented Abua/Odual State Constituency in the Rivers State House of Assembly for two consecutive tenors. Dr. Ogiri has had prior commercial experience having worked as Finance/Administration Manager, Company Financial Accountant and Finance Controller, among other key roles in different organizations including blue-chip companies. He presently holds the position of Chief Consultant of RosebowlEducation Consult Ltd, an Educational Consulting outfit based in Lagos, Nigeria. He is also a founding partner of MevKonsult – a tax, finance, and management consulting firm. Dr. Ogiriholds a Higher Diploma in Accountancy (Jos, Nigeria), BA in Accounting & Financial Management (Sunderland, UK) and an MBA in Management (Port Harcourt, Nigeria). He received his M.Sc. and Ph.D. (both in Accounting) from Leeds Beckett University (formerly, Leeds Metropolitan University) in the United Kingdom. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria and also holds membership of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria. Dr. Ogiri has published in reputable academic journals including American Journal of Social and Management Sciences (USA), Social Responsibility Journal (UK), Journal of Global Responsibility (Australia) and African Journal of Economic and Sustainable Development (New York, USA), among others. His research interests are in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Business Ethics and Sustainable Development. A widely traveled professional, Dr. Ogiri has presented research papers at International Conferences in universities in Europe, the United Kingdom, and the Middle East. He was a visiting Fellow at Leeds Beckett University in the United Kingdom where he was guest Lecturer at the Centre for Governance, Leadership and Global Responsibility.
