Entrepreneurship Education Helps Economic Development

ROME Business School, Nigeria study centre, has expressed the need for the entrepreneurial aspect of every course of study in tertiary education to be taught in tertiary schools.

Country Director RBS, Nigeria, Dr. Humphrey Akanazu, said excellent teaching programmes had emerged and had successfully converted education into practical success.

In a statement to announce the engagement of Dr. Babatunde Asenuga as a faculty member of RBS, Akanazu explained that entrepreneurship education was a prerequisite for the economic development of a country, saying, “Entrepreneurs initiate change and renewal.”

He further said, “There is a need to meet in the middle, where theoretical knowledge about entrepreneurship needs to combine with practical experiences in order for entrepreneurial ventures to succeed.

“Moreover, the knowledge-based nature of today’s industry and organizations demands cross-disciplinary education and knowledge for new opportunities and new ventures to succeed.”

According to Akanazu, entrepreneurship education provides students with innovative courses and trainings, which also helps in transforming theoretical knowledge into practical work.
