Business Analysis: Tools and Techniques

Overview

Business Analysis is the application of knowledge, competencies, tools, and techniques to frame business issues and identify business needs; identify and suggest possible solutions to meet those needs; elicit, document, and manage stakeholder requirements to achieve project objectives; and facilitate project or programme product, service, or the result realization. Participants will obtain 14 PDUs (Professional Development Units), required by the PMI® standards.

Learning Objectives

The course is aimed at enabling participants to acquire the knowledge of business analysis tools, techniques, and models. To enable the participants to easily apply each tool or technique to the correct elicitation or analysis need, the description of the various models will be structured on the various areas of business analysis. Practical exercises will be scheduled.

Target Participants

The course is aimed at all those who have an interest in the practical aspects of the management of business analysis, who aim at acquiring the PMI-PBA® certificate, or wish to acquire PDUs useful for maintaining the PMP® or other PMI® certificates (the course awards PDUs thus subdivided: 12 Strategic & Business; 2 Technical; 0 Leadership). In particular, it is aimed at all those who, within an organization, occupy positions of:

  • Business or Process Analyst;
  • Project manager;
  • Functional management;
  • Head of organizations;
  • Process manager;
  • Functional analyst;
  • Business consultant.
