Mrs. Titilope Oguntuga
Titilope Oguntuga has been at the forefront of positioning organisations for competitiveness for two decades, leveraging resources, reputation and relationships to create positive financial and non-financial impact. Titilope brings to bare multi sector experience, delivering progressive performance while building credible partnerships that strengthen opportunities for positive impact. To date, she has implemented over 200 successful projects in strategic communications and brand management, business recapitalisation, product development, culture transformation, , corporate campaigns, media and public relations, partnerships and alliances, impact assessments, corporate social responsibility, issues and crisis management as well as stakeholder relations
Titilope is currently Head, Sustainable Development and Corporate Brand at Lafarge Africa Plc (a member of Holcim, world’s leader in innovative and sustainable building solutions) – responsible for implementing its sustainability and development strategy and ambitions. She continues to leverage sustainability as a distinctive source of competitive advantage for Lafarge Africa. She is passionate about various areas of building corporate goodwill and reputation, also enabling businesses to do well by doing good. Titilope is a board advisor advising on ESG and reputational risk to multinational organisations, not for profits and other institutions within Africa and beyond.
Titilope has a first degree in the Arts and Humanities, a Masters’ in Business Administration and is a member of several professional institutes in Nigeria. She is a member of Project Management Institute USA, an associate of Chartered Institute of Marketing (UK), the International Society for Sustainability Professionals and the Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria. She has also studied at the Lagos Business School and the Harvard Business School, USA.
She is a facilitator/faculty member/teacher with many sides. As a thought and practice leader, she spoken in several conferences within Africa. Titilope is a member of the Harvard Business Review Advisory Council. She has served as judge for Junior Chamber International ‘The Outstanding Young Persons (TOYP) Awards and is also a tutor for Chartered Institute of Marketing UK foremost accredited study centre in Nigeria. She was part of the global team to conduct a peer review for the Mining Sector Reporting Standards for Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), the world largest developer of sustainability reporting standards, adopted by over 700 companies globally. She is a member of several corporate faculties, Women in Management, Business and Public Service (WIMBIZ), a Women on Boards (WIMBoard) Fellow and plays actively on several Policy Commissions of the Nigerian Economic Summit Group.
In 2022, Titilope was recognised as one of the top 60 Africa Women in Development by the Donors for Africa, top 100 leading career women by 9 to 5 Chick and 100 Women creating a better Africa by WeforGood International. In 2023, she received dual recognition as Top Peak Performing (TPP) Woman. Under Titilope’s leadership, Lafarge Africa has received several recognitions such as the Top 50 brands making a difference in Nigeria by Forbes, the Institute of Directors Corporate Governance Award, most consistent brand in Sustainability by Brand Communicator, Recycle Company of the Year by the Africa Clean Up Initiative, the Nigerian Exchange Made of Africa Awards for Excellence in Sustainability Reporting amongst several others.
Titilope is a published author, mentors and coaches younger people, especially women and has impacted several women across Africa. She is also a social innovator committed to solving societal challenges through volunteering on several humanitarian causes.
