The RBS4Entrepreneurship initiative by Rome Business School Nigeria (RBSN) stands out as a high-impact entrepreneurial development program with a noble and inclusive character. Designed to foster innovation, sustainability, and social impact, the program provides equity-free educational and entrepreneurial development opportunities not only to enrolled students but also to external entrepreneurs across Nigeria and beyond.
This open-access approach promotes collaboration, diversity, and the cross-pollination of ideas across industries and cultures. As noted by the program’s leadership:
“Participants benefit from a dimension of diversity that is rare in most national incubation programs. This diversity—measurable in the wide range of sectors and professional backgrounds represented—has proven to be a significant asset to all stakeholders involved. Through RBS4Entrepreneurship, we have welcomed more than 2,375 young, local and international entrepreneurs who have generated startup projects spanning over 31 market segments on a global scale.”
Now in its third edition, RBS4Entrepreneurship has grown into one of Nigeria’s most vibrant incubation ecosystems. The recently concluded Pitch Day, which serves as the capstone event of the program, was a dynamic showcase of entrepreneurial talent and innovation.
During the Pitch Day, the top five startups from the latest cohort presented their business ideas before a prestigious panel of Nigerian and international venture capitalists, business angels, and innovation experts. These emerging entrepreneurs had the opportunity to gain real-time feedback, refine their business models, and connect with potential investors and collaborators.
Global outlook, with participants working on scalable solutions for both local and international markets.
RBS4Entrepreneurship continues to uphold Rome Business School Nigeria’s mission of building human capital and enabling business-driven impact through education, innovation, and sustainable entrepreneurship.
As the initiative moves into future editions, the vision remains clear: to nurture a new generation of changemakers who will reshape industries, uplift communities, and contribute meaningfully to economic development—both in Nigeria and globally.
“A very important observatory also for the analysis and detection of post-pandemic entrepreneurial development trends”
“Between 2023 and 2024 we witnessed a 70 percent increase in the development of projects in previously crippled sectors such as tourism and agritourism. In cultural startup ideas we note a decline in blockchain components and an increase in the physicality of services and products. The themes of circular economy, social impact, and sustainability, to date the accumulating characters of 85 percent of the projects developed in RBS since 2021, remain nice and firm.” Florinda Orsini Head of RBS Career Services and RBS4Entrepreneurship Program Director
