Global Leadership in Action: What Our Students Gained from the RBSN Study Tour in Rome

At Rome Business School Nigeria (RBSN), we’re committed to transforming executive education through global experiences that empower our students to lead with confidence, clarity, and a global mindset.

Our 2025 Study Tour in Rome wasn’t just another academic trip—it was a powerful, real-world extension of our mission to shape bold, internationally competent leaders. Over three days, our executive students were immersed in international business environments, exposed to forward-thinking leadership, and given the tools to apply classroom theory in dynamic global contexts.

Day 1: Strategy Meets Culture

The tour kicked off with an eye-opening session on International Business Strategy by Professor Antonio Scialletti, where students explored global market dynamics and strategic thinking in a changing world.

In the afternoon, they took a guided tour of Vatican City and the Colosseum, two of Rome’s most iconic landmarks. This cultural immersion wasn’t just sightseeing—it gave students a deeper appreciation for history, leadership, and the global forces that shape today’s business landscape.

The day ended with a relaxed networking Aperitivo at Baja, where executives from diverse industries connected over meaningful conversations, exchanging ideas, contacts, and inspiration.

Day 2: Learning from Global Institutions

Next, the group visited the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO)
—a major global institution focused on sustainability, food security, and development. Students got an inside look at how international organizations operate, influence policy, and respond to global challenges.

It was a powerful reminder that the impact of leadership often goes beyond profits, touching lives, shaping societies, and creating sustainable futures.

Day 3: Corporate Strategy Up Close

The final day featured a strategic visit to Baiocco Holdings, where students engaged with high-level leaders and explored real-world corporate strategy in one of Italy’s leading business environments.

From boardroom insights to street-level exploration, the day blended professional development with cultural discovery, building students’ adaptability, emotional intelligence, and cross-cultural leadership skills.

Why This Matters for Executive Students

The Rome Study Tour is a key part of the RBSN experience, where learning extends beyond textbooks into real-world application. It reflects our belief that global leadership isn’t just taught—it’s lived.

Through visits to global institutions, corporate giants, and cultural heritage sites, our students return not just with memories, but with:

  • A deeper understanding of international business strategy
  • Exposure to global best practices in leadership
  • Broader cultural awareness and adaptability
  • Stronger professional networks across borders

What’s Next?

This is just one chapter of a much bigger story. At Rome Business School Nigeria, we’ll continue to create powerful global experiences that prepare our students for leadership roles—locally and internationally.

Stay tuned for more updates from the road as we keep shaping leaders ready for today’s global realities.
