Mr. Uju Onwuzulike is the founder of Mentoring Consult Ltd, a strategic management firm. For nearly two decades, he has been a trusted advisor to boards, CEOs, and senior executives, helping organizations drive systemic growth and achieve sustainable performance. A U.S.-trained strategy and systems thinking expert, he was mentored by the late Steve Haines, founder of the Haines Centre for Strategic Management. He served as a Global Partner at the Haines Centre (California, USA), representing the African region, and has also worked as a strategist in the financial sector.
As a faculty member at the Rome Business School, Mr. Onwuzulike teaches strategic management, business strategy, corporate/sustainable innovation, and idea generation and validation.
Since 2010, he has held a Gold Mastery in Strategic Management from the Haines Centre in collaboration with the University of San Diego. In 2007, he became the first African to earn the Optimal Thinking Assessment Facilitator certification from the World Academy of Personal Development, USA.
His academic background includes a master’s degree in Technology Governance and Digital Transformation from Tallinn University of Technology (Estonia), an MBA, and a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics. He is also a certified Digital Business Transformation Manager, a certified Transformation Program Manager, and holds credentials in digitalization and smart, sustainable city governance.
In 2011, Mr. Onwuzulike pioneered systems thinking programs in corporate Nigeria and is recognized today as one of Africa’s leading facilitators. His consulting portfolio includes work with organizations such as Pyramid Plc, IIHT, NOVA Bank, First City Monument Bank, the Nigerian Navy, Simba Group, MRS Oil Plc, EKEDC, Avon HMO, and the Centre for Corporate Governance, among others.
Previously, he has served as a columnist for Business Day and Vanguard, where he authored over 250 published articles offering insights on innovation, strategy, systems thinking, and adaptability.
On a personal level, Mr. Onwuzulike is deeply passionate about strengthening Christian marriages—not just to survive, but to thrive. Through his YouTube channel, Transforming Marriages with Uju Onwuzulike, he offers godly and practical guidance to help couples build Christ-centered, divorce-proof relationships. To him, this work is more than a passion; it is a calling with eternal significance. He believes that when rooted in God’s wisdom, both marriages and businesses can flourish in alignment.
