Product Launch – A SnowMill V Max Sensor Washing Booth

On Friday, 28th August 2020, the Students of the Cattanzo Group in the Executive Master in Marketing and Communications at Rome Business School Nigeria unveiled their project “SnowMill V Max Sensor Washing Booth” for the Product Launch which is a compulsory activity for the Master’s programme.

The SnowMill V Max Sensor Washing Booth is a movable machine comprising of three units; soap dispenser, tap and hand drier. An internal auto-sensor controls all units of the booth and so, there is no physical contact required while making use of any of these units. This machine can be used at any time of the day as it has a special illuminator to enhance its usage at night. Additionally, brands can utilize the sides of the booth for promotional purposes.

On their inspiration for the project, the Cattanzo product group head, Mr. Okeke said the current pandemic which has brought about the new normal served as an inspiration to do something unique.

They decided to leverage on the current situation but required a technical team (Snowmill and Candies) to make their idea a reality. Speaking at the event, the representative of Snowmill and Candies emphasized on “Hygiene for Life”. This means the plan for the washing booth is to serve beyond the pandemic period to maintain proper hygiene, especially in public places.

When asked about future plans for this product, the group made it known that there were plans in place to make the washing booth solar enabled in order to guarantee its functionality in the absence of power supply. Also, they intend to establish partnerships with organizations to enable the use of this booth in public places for both hand washing and advertisement purposes.

One of the Faculty members, Mr. Fuh Che stated that this innovation was the first of its kind from students of Rome Business School Nigeria. He encouraged other students to always take advantage of the product launch as it creates an opportunity for them to introduce unique products or services that can be officially launched upon completion of their Master’s program. Mr. Che offered to give the Cattanzo group free consultation services for their product.

The Country Director, Dr. Humphrey Akanazu was beyond amazed to see the project which was a practical outcome portraying the aim of the school; to play a role between the academic world and the job market by providing managerial training courses suited to convey the knowledge necessary to kick-off or develop professional careers or business activities.

He commended the aim of the project; “Hygiene for Life” as it will help in improving hygiene practices and quality of life. He felt happy knowing that Rome Business School created a platform for innovation, the Cattanzo group grasped the essence of the platform and utilized it. He informed the group that the school will support the project.

The Cattanzo group members consist of Okeke Igwe Okeke, Paul Tokunbo Adeoye Laniyan, Abiodun Nurudeen Ogunsanya, and Isioma Iwuagwu. The group was coached by Idongesit Essien, an alumnus of the Executive Master in Marketing and Communications, and Dr. Humphrey Akanazu, Country Director, Rome Business School Nigeria.
